🎤 What do you do?
As the Legal & Compliance Head of Edenred UAE, I ensure adherence to the local labour laws, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards, safeguarding our operations and fostering a compliant and transparent environment.
🎤 What’s one of your biggest challenges at work?
On the one hand, balancing the constantly evolving legal intricacies to ensure efficient payroll processes, and updating our data protection policies and procedures, and on the other hand, helping our clients to do the same.
🎤 What part of your work makes you smile?
Meeting the team everyday – and also, knowing that we’re facilitating seamless payroll transactions for 2 million people.
🎤 How is your team contributing to financial inclusion for the unbanked sector in the UAE?
Our mission in compliance is to ensure applying the rules, regulations, and initiatives implemented by the government, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to provide access to financial services for individuals who are unbanked or underserved.
We also support the Edenred team in the UAE that’s implemented innovative payroll solutions, including digital payment options, to contribute to financial stability and thereby, financial inclusion to the unbanked sector in the UAE.
