🎤 What do you do?
➡️ In my role, I oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring it effectively supports our business operations. I collaborate with various teams to optimize our systems and enhance overall efficiency.
🎤 What’s one of your biggest challenges at work?
➡️ One of my primary challenges is maintaining high availability and robust security in an ever-evolving technological landscape. As we scale and our systems become more complex, it’s crucial to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact our operations. Staying ahead of these challenges requires constant vigilance and adaptability.
🎤 What part of your work makes you smile?
➡️ I love the moment when a tricky problem gets solved through teamwork and creativity – it’s rewarding to see our collective efforts contribute to Edenred UAE’s success.
🎤 How is your team contributing to financial inclusion for the unbanked sector in the UAE?
➡️ Our team builds and maintains the critical technology infrastructure that powers digital financial services for a large set of unbanked population. It is critical that our services cannot stand idle at any point in time. By ensuring our platforms are dependable and accessible 24/7, we ensure that the financial services are at the fingertips of our customers, absolutely anytime.
🎤 Now for some fun questions: Which languages do you speak?
➡️ My mother tongue is Malayalam. But I speak English, Hindi and a bit of Tamil as well.
🎤 Who’s your favorite superhero, and why?
➡️Batman, because he is one of the few superheroes who has no supernatural abilities. Just a man with sheer willpower and determination pushing his human potential to its limits.
Plus, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love the Batmobile? 😎
🎤 Where was your first job?
➡️ I started working on tech support as a teenager during the days of Windows XP just for fun and out of curiosity, back in my village in India. My first professional job was in Abu Dhabi as a Cloud Service Engineering Intern.
🎤 What’s your favorite movie or TV show at the moment?
➡️ My all-time favourite TV Show is ‘LOST’ and the movie ‘The Green Mile’
🎤 What’s the one thing you are absolutely passionate about?
➡️ Football ⚽
🎤 One destination from your travel bucket list?
➡️ The incredible ancient ruins in Greece.
🎤 What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
➡️ Everything is hard the first time. It’s all about practising and progressing without giving up.
